Chartered in 1831 as one of America’s earliest railroads, the West Chester Railroad served as a vital transportation hub for over a century, connecting local residents, businesses, and students to Philadelphia. At its peak, the bustling line saw up to 24 passenger trains a day. Though regular commuter service ended in 1986, a dedicated group of enthusiasts successfully restored the historic line a decade later.
